Barry Taylor

Lead Pastor

Even though he was born in Ontario, Barry feels at home here on the prairies, having attended College in Moose Jaw at Aldersgate, then moving with his wife to serve at the Regina Free Methodist Church (Northview Community). After ministering in a Free Methodist church in Ontario, Barry, Tracey and their three children moved back to Saskatchewan in 2011, when he became lead pastor of First FMC.

He is passionate about sharing Christ’s love with those around him and helping others to grow in their relationship with Jesus, through time spent teaching, preaching, leading worship, and one on one visits.

Patty Perry

Care Pastor

Patty’s life as a child revolved around church activities like Sunday school, children’s church and kid’s club where lasting friendships were formed and life patterns were established. Once a teen, she was then involved in youth group and in helping out with programs. So, it is no surprise that the journey continued and she now finds herself serving as the Care Pastor of the Free Methodist church here in Moose Jaw. She attended Okanagan Bible College and then the University of Regina. She relocated here to begin working as an elementary teacher.

It is her joy to pastor and a privilege to serve this community and her desire is for each person to deeply know Jesus and to follow Him.

Nicole Turner

Director of Children's Ministry

Nicole grew up in the Weyburn Free Methodist Church and began volunteering in Children's Ministry at the age of 13. This experience fostered a love of teaching and watching children grow in Christ. She took this love first to Briercrest College and Seminary, then to University of Saskatchewan where she earned her Bachelor's of Education.

Nicole and her husband, Jim, met while at Briercrest. They lived in Saskatoon for a short time while Nicole worked on her degree, then returned to Moose Jaw to settle and raise their two children.

Nicole is passionate about helping children grow in wisdom and relationship with Christ while becoming energetic and excited about their faith.

After attending Briercrest Bible College, she was the secretary at First FMC for several years before leaving to pursue a music degree at the University of Regina. Life has come full circle and Laura is happy to once again be serving the congregation of First FMC as their Office Administrator.
